About Get Help Selling
The Get Help Selling section is the ideal solution for parents with overflowing closets, but no time to sell. It’s also a fantastic way for others to make extra money from home as Kidzola Consultants, helping busy parents sell gently-used outgrown items. Kidzola’s Get Help Selling section helps to bring these two groups of people together. To find someone close to your home, use Kidzola’s Advanced Search and enter a mile radius of your zip code.
I Need Help Selling
If you’re a busy parent with tons of things to sell but no time to sell them, this section is for you. You can use this section to describe exactly what type of help you need and what types of items you have to sell. But before you meet up with a Consultant, here are a few things to consider:
- Pick a safe place to meet. If you will meet at your home, make sure you take necessary safety precautions. Remember that Kidzola does not screen Consultants.
- Check out the Consultant’s feedback rating if they have sold on Kidzola before. This will give some indication of others’ experience with this person.
- Don’t give the Consultant all of your items at first. Give them a few items at your first meeting and let your relationship and trust grow over time. You can always give them more later.
- Make sure you clearly communicate a timeframe for listing your items, how long the Consultant will keep your items and what to do with your items if they don’t sell.
- The Consultant should photograph your items, suggest prices, list them on the Kidzola website and follow through with the sales and shipping transactions. For this service, Kidzola recommends 60% of the final sale be paid to the owner and 40% be kept by the Consultant.
- Put your agreement in writing. We suggest this sample contract. Make sure both parties keep a copy of the agreement.
I’ll Help You Sell
This section provides a great opportunity for Kidzola Consultants to advertise their services and help busy parents sell their outgrown children’s items. There’s no application required to be a Kidzola Consultant… simply list your services here and you’re in business. Before you take on your first client, here are some things to consider:
- Keep safety first in all of your client meetings. If you meet at a home, make sure you take necessary safety precautions.
- Make sure you have a safe place to store your client’s items, access to the internet and a digital camera.
- Open a Kidzola store so all of your inventory can be seen in one place. Promote your store wherever you go to get more clients, bring more attention to your listings and increase your sales.
- Start working right away when you get new inventory. You should take pictures and begin listing items for sale immediately and provide regular updates to your clients.
- Be prompt in your correspondence with buyers. Make sure to check your e-mail frequently.
- Be prompt in sending payment to your clients when items sell. We suggest sending payment once monthly for all items that sold during that period.
- Put your agreement in writing. We suggest this sample contract. Make sure both parties keep a copy of the agreement.
